Approved Car Loans

Pre-approved car loan?
We went to our credit union to inquire about an auto loan, and we (my husband and I) got preapproved for a 18,000 auto loan (Well she said to aim at getting a car at 16K or less). I was wondering, can the loan cover two cars?Let's say we go to a dealership and find two cars, and we go below 14K (so it could cover TT&L) for two cars or so, can the bank finance two cars if we got preapproved for 18K? I hope it makes sense.

Can I use my approved car loan from my bank as a barging chip to get a better loan at the dealership?

Fico score of 683, but Wells Fargo denied car loan. Can I get a pre-appro. loan elsewhere?
Fico of 683, but WFargo denied me a pre-approved car loan due to bankrupcy 4 yrs. ago and a charge-off on a car loan to another bank 6 yrs. ago. My credit since bankrupcy is great. I have three 8.9%apr credit cards that never go over 1/3 of credit limit, debt-to-income is great, and have a job that pays $3467.per month, and a great history with WF for the past 3 1/2 years. What's UP!! What do I do now??
